Top 10 Books that I love
1. Behind Closed Doors
Behind Closed Doors by B.A Paris is an intense psychological thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. The seemingly perfect marriage of Jack and Grace hides a chilling reality, revealed through building suspense and crazy twists. It will probably always be my favorite book because it was the first book that made me want to read it again and again, and I did. The buildup is unmatched and the ending is unforgettable! This is an absolute must-read for thriller fans.

2. The Help
The Help by Kathryn Stockett was the first book from my school curriculum that truly stood out to me. I loved every part of it and the movie also captured it perfectly. The intertwining stories of all the strong, courageous women were already compelling enough, but the question of “what happened to Constantine” added an extra layer of mystery that kept me hooked. The book’s heart, history, and suspense made it an unforgettable read.

3. It Ends With Us
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover has become incredibly popular, but I have to say I read it before its fame. I loved this book for its real portrayal of how easy it is to convince ourselves that something isn’t abuse and how hard it is to walk away when 90% of the relationship feels perfect. Hoover captures the emotional complexity of trauma, love, and self-worth, making the story both heartbreaking and eye-opening. It’s a book that stays with you long after you close it.

4. The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls was another book I had to read in school, and it completely kept me on my toes. Reading about what she and her siblings endured was both heartbreaking and eye-opening. It was the first true story I read, about a girl growing up with parents who struggled with addiction and neglect. It left a lasting impact, it was powerful and unforgettable.

5. The Notebook
I read The Notebook in one day, partly mostly because I wanted to be able to say “I’ve read a book in one day”, but also because I couldn’t put it down. It’s a classic love story that pulls at your heartstrings, showing the good, the bad, and the messy parts of real love. Noah and Allie’s story is emotional and timeless, and it kept me hooked from start to finish, it is definitely a book that stays with you.

6. Catching Fire
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins was such an entertaining and engaging book. The way the arena was designed as a giant clock with rotating obstacles added a whole new level of suspense, making it extremely difficult for the characters to figure out the arena. The story was riveting from start to finish and it kept me engaged. The Hunger Games is a great series to dive into, especially for anyone just getting into reading.

7. Mistborn
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson was completely outside my usual genres, but it surprised me with how much I loved it. While the main character, Vin’s abilities took some time to follow, the story quickly pulled me in. The rich-world building and magic system made it extremely interesting and it definitely broadened my interest in other genres. If you like sci-fi, or even if you don’t, give this one a try!

8. The Breakdown
The Breakdown by B.A. Paris is a psychological thriller that kept me hooked, though it was frustrating at times when no one believed the main character, Cass. Labeled as paranoid and unreliable, she had to uncover the truth on her own, adding to the suspense and tension. Despite this, the twists and turns made for an engaging read, and the mystery kept me guessing until the end.

9. Verity
The Breakdown by B.A. Paris was the first book to genuinely creep me out and give me that eerie, unsettled feeling. Some parts, like the headboard scene (seriously, what was that about?), weirded me out, but overall, it was such a gripping thriller. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m so excited for the movie—the cast looks amazing!

10. The Silent Patient
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides was a good thriller with strong suspense, but I found it hard to follow and a bit slow at times. The pacing made it difficult to stay engaged, and because it took me longer to finish, I don’t think I fully grasped the concept. That said, the twists were interesting, and I can see why so many people enjoyed it.
